2005
GAMES
EASTERN SUBURBS
AT WEKA STREET
Trevor has had enough rugby and he looks very clean for
a forward. Ray behind in our other player strip looking for a rest also.

This is all action, even the Ref is breaking into a jog.

Leon giving directions from the sideline and Frits requesting a beer and
Ray behind him thinking it is a bloody good idea.

No doubt there is a bit of cheating going on here. The ref is giving a
penalty to the Yellowbellies. I can tell you now Cleve from Suburbs is
on the bottom of this pile up.

This must be late in the game the only players in view are from Suburbs
where are the Yellowbellies ?
THAMES FLOUNDERERS
AT WEKA STREET
This was a very wet day at Weka Street. There does not
seem to be much support for Andrew. Pierre is doing his best to get there.

This is a shocker, I had to brighten up this photo. The
day got worse, this is Derek one of our players playing for Thames looking
very cold and wet.

The teams waiting for a lineout looking very cold, wet and tired and badly
in need of a beer or two.
FRASER-TECH AT WEKA STREET
TIN BIN GAME
The boys warming up with a jar before the game or during
the game I am not too sure. There were a few beers drunk during the game
as well, I think Lou is taking some supplies to the boys on the field.
Fraser-Tech on the attack and about to score a try. The Yellowbellies
have a unique way of defending their goal line, it is so cunning we cannot
put it in a photo, you will have to come to a game to see for yourself.

Another break by Dave from Fraser-Tech with Leon (in red) in support,
and Andrew ready to take on all comers.

All the Yellowbellies showing their usual keeness to restart the game.

Ray playing for Fraser-Tech about to be tackled by Ghost or run over by
him. Good luck.
Reese from Fraser-Tech sprinting to support the ball carrier and about
to score a try and a beer.
Both teams after a great game of rugby witch ended in a 22 all draw. The
guy in pink is Mike who was the referee for the day. Behind him is Scott
from America who was here for the Lions tour of NZ.
PUTARURU AT WEKA
STREET

As can be seen by this picture there was no great rush by the Yellowbellies
forwards to get to the ball. Even Andrew who played for Putaruru is admiring
the pass.
I’m not to sure what is going on here, I think the Yellowbellies
have scored a try.

Finally some action, I’m not too sure if Frits is waiting for a
long pass or sprinting to the bar, but the ball is not in sight.
The boys winning a ruck at last, Barry, OZ, Jamie and Trevor making it
easy for Ray to pass the ball. Hopefully there is someone to pass it to
but that is another picture for another game.
Yellowbellies V
Marks Mob

Who is the balding bricklayer offside at the ruck, even
though everybody else is cheating except Pete, which is the biggest surprise.
As you can see the defensive line is really keen to get on with the game.

An action shot, Lou playing for Marks Mob has the ball
I’m not sure what happens next but Andrew looks keen to take the
ball up.

This photo shows how rugby should not be played. Which
one of these players is “not” playing the ball on the ground.
I think they are starting a new religion or are just tired.

Thank goodness this was a tin bin game. Mark and Dave
enjoying a beer and Ray one of the injured on our Gold Coast trip looking
