YELLOWBELLIES DRAGON BOAT RACING TEAMS
Thanks to Lou for organising a great day and for every one who turned up to make two teams for our first excursion into dragon boat racing. We won two races and placed second in another two so it was a great effort from the team, special thanks to Pauline who’s advise and coaching was appreciated except nobody “bloody listened” as shown by the following photos, and the boys did not have drink till after the racing was over, We even won a paddle for coming first.

Pauline giving the team a bit of advise in how to paddle and not to tip the boat over.
It does seem the rowers are listening.

I feel very sorry for Pauline all her advise and hard work not worth a bucket of bolts, the boys aren’t listening but they powered away to win anyway. I think Pete at the back is a bit keen.

If you thought the previous photo was bad how is this for how not to paddle a dragon boat. The only thing we did not do was tip the bloody boat. There is Pete again at the back of the boat, I think he is ducking for cover this time.

A big High Five for the winning team

The boys celebrating winning the dragon boat race, now we need this effort on
the rugby field.
