Yellowbellies
in Adelaide/Tasmania April-May 2007
We have taken our rugby talents to many parts of the world, the boys
from the Crippled Crows visited us in 2005 for the Maori v Lions game
and were such a great bunch of guys we had to reciprocate the gesture.
Many thanks to Frits for organizing another great trip and Pete for
his work in Adelaide coordinating transport for the team. The local
players were great, special thanks to Big Al and his family for having
us at his winery in the Barossa valley, Tricky for the brewery tour
and joining in with Lou the team resident Ukulele player playing the
drums on our last night Adelaide.
Kaz for organizing the pub to watch the rugby and the poetry, which
flowed the more he drank.
Many thanks to Tony, Nigel and Haley who joined us from Brisbane for
another tour with the team hopefully they will join us on our next
trip.
We ventured to Tasmania for a week after touring the state we ended
up in Hobart where we played the Tasie Convicts at the University
ground.

The boys showing their age except Pierre who is trying to catch up.
The Woodville team. Many thanks to Peter Brown the ref and Tricky
on the far
right for a fantastic trip.

Peter the ref giving instructions, Pierre scratching his head thinking
when did he arrive from mars. The two guys behind Peter had the port,
the most important thing to start a game of rugby.

This photo proves we did play, the playing surface was fantastic many
thanks to the Woodville Rugby Club.

Joint team photo Woodville/Yellowbellies. Nigel was busting for a

That’s why his hands are up.

The team at the fine session before the game against West Torrens.
Many thanks to Mike Graham for a fantastic job as sheriff for this
trip.

Another game another port session. It’s a tough life.

The boys looking worse for wear as the drought broke the day we played
the game

The group at their first wine tasting for their day at the Penfolds
winery in
the Barossa valley.
Party time at Big Al’s Vineyard

Wine tasting at Taylor’s winery in the Clair Valley

The rush for the bar, the most important part of the brewery tour.
Kevin was in quick.
Yellowbellies
in Tasmania
Many thanks to the University Rugby club in Hobart for a great game
and after match function

We aren’t late for the game it was played at night and it was
cold too.

It was good to see one of our former players now living in Tasmania,
Moses and his wife Lesley along with Marlene and Chris braving the
cold and windy night.

Many thanks to the Hobart convicts for the game.
